  • Groundbraking ceremony for Kanda Plant. Construction started.

2004
  • Signed agreement for the Kanda Plant to be in Kanda Town.
  • Groundbraking ceremony for Miyata No.2 Plant. Construction started.
  • Plant visitors exceed 500,000.
  • Survey by IQS of America in 2003 places the RX330 as the Number One vehicle in the entry luxury SUV category.
  • Total production at 2,000,000 vehicles.

2003
  • New RX330 production started in TMMC.
  • Minor changes made to Highlander model.
  • RX300, Highlander, ES300 awarded First Prize in each Category at JD Power IQS in the United States.
  • New RX330 production started.
2002
  • General automobile inspection firm Toyota RIC Kyushu,Inc established.
  • Plant visitors exceed 400,000.
  • Highlander awarded First Prize in SUV Category at JD Power IQS in the United States.
  • First time for Track and Field Team to take part in Ekiden Race for Japanese businesses.
2001
  • New ES 300 production started.
  • Received awards at JD Power IQS in U.S.: Factory Category, second Platinum Award in a row; Truck Category, Bronze
    Prize; Near Luxury Vehicle Category, First Prize for the ES 300; Luxury SUV Category, First Prize for the RX 300.
  • TMK 10th Anniversary.
    "Wing 21" facility established.
  • Achieved zero landfill waste goal.
2000
  • Won Nihon Keizai Shimbun Millennium Special Prize for pioneering advanced high-technologies.
    Began HIGHLANDER production.
  • Received Platinum First Prize Award (Factory Category) JD Power IQS in the United States.
    ES 300 awarded First Prize in Near Luxury Vehicle Category of same event.
  • Certified for International Unified Standards of Quality Assurance: ISO 9002.
  • Total production at 1,000,000 vehicles.

1999
  • Plant visitors exceed 300,000.
  • Won Kyushu Bureau of METI, Director General's Award as a superior energy control plant.
1998
  • Began production in Harrier/ZAGATO Project.
  • Certified for International Unified Environmental ControlStandards: ISO 14001.
1997
  • First delivery of RX 300 parts.
    RX 300 production started.
  • Affiliated service firm HELLO LIFE, INC. established.
  • LEXUS ES 300 production started.
  • Total production at 500,000 vehicles.

  • New Mark II and Chaser production started.

  • Cumulative deficit ended.

  • Chaser production started.
  • Received the Okochi Memorial Production Prize.
